I’m Kirsty, a writer and solicitor whose work sits at the intersection of law, creativity, and lived experience. I write about trauma, justice, queer resilience, community care, and the moments that shape us. My background across legal practice, arts and cultural work, international education, and years of performing on stages in Australia and France informs everything I create — from survivor-centred resources to essays, blog posts, and long-form writing projects.
My guiding belief is simple: storytelling can shift systems. Writing can make people feel less alone. And creative expression is a form of resistance, healing, and connection.

My writing explores sexual violence, trauma-informed practice, feminist legal theory, queer identity, and community-based justice. I also write creatively about movement, intimacy, and the strange beauty of being human.
Here you’ll find: published articles, essays, legal and advocacy writing, excerpts and works-in-progress

I am the co-author of Making It Stop, a trauma-informed handbook for sexual-violence survivors, their support networks, and the professionals who work with them.
It combines legal clarity, therapeutic insight, practical tools, and lived experience — with the aim of making the justice system more accessible, less harmful, and truly survivor-centred.

Reflections on law, writing, creativity, queerness, healing, and the worlds we build together.
I write about what I’m learning — through legal practice, through art, through community, through movement and dance, through being alive and trying to make sense of it.

I collaborate with organisations, publishers, legal bodies, creatives, and advocates on projects related to:
